Why Planning Matters

One move can affect the whole plan.

A business purchase, rental property, land venture, or compensation change rarely affects tax alone. It can influence cash flow, financing, entity structure, timing, and family goals.

Tax preparation records what already happened. Proactive tax planning helps you compare the options before the decision is made and coordinate what should happen next.

“The right question is rarely, 'Can I do this?' It is, 'How should I structure this?'”

— Ryan Eldridge, Founder
What We Evaluate

Strategies for your next move.

A promising idea can create more questions than answers. We help you determine what fits your facts, model the tradeoffs, and see how one move affects everything else.

01Recreational Land

Turn property into a genuine operating business.

If you want recreational land to support a business, we help you test the profit model, separate business activity from personal use, choose a workable structure, and establish records before treating costs as business expenses.

02Rental Property Strategy

Evaluate the property and the tax position together.

Before you build, buy, or change a rental, we model cash flow and financing, review ownership and depreciation, and evaluate whether real estate professional or short-term rental rules may apply to your actual participation and use.

03Cost Segregation

Match depreciation strategy to the full plan.

Before ordering a study, we compare the timing, cost, state treatment, expected holding period, future recapture, and your ability to use accelerated deductions. When appropriate, a qualified specialist performs the study.

04Brokerage Line of Credit

Evaluate liquidity without selling investments.

If you are considering borrowing against investments, we help you evaluate the purpose, repayment plan, interest cost, liquidity, and risk of a collateral call alongside your licensed lender and investment professional.

05The Augusta Rule

Document qualified business use of your home.

If your business needs legitimate meeting or event space, we evaluate whether the home-rental rules may fit. The plan should document the business purpose, attendees, agenda, comparable rate, payment, and applicable day limits.

06Employing Your Children

Create real work, real pay, and clean records.

When your child performs necessary work for the business, we help define age-appropriate duties, support reasonable pay, track time, and coordinate payroll and tax reporting under the rules that apply to your entity.

07Entity & Owner Compensation

Put the right structure behind the income.

We compare whether your current entity and owner-pay approach still fit the business. That includes payroll, reasonable compensation, distributions, benefits, state rules, administrative cost, and future ownership plans.

08Opportunity Planning

Pressure-test the next major move.

Before you sign, sell, acquire, or move significant capital, we model the tax, cash-flow, financing, risk, and implementation questions so you can see the tradeoffs and know which professionals and actions come next.

Strategies depend on each client’s facts, eligibility, goals, and current law. Numbers and Company provides tax and business advisory and coordinates with qualified legal, lending, investment, valuation, and cost-segregation professionals when their expertise is required. No strategy or outcome is guaranteed.

How We Help

One coordinated plan.

A strategy only helps when the numbers support it, the details are documented, and the right people know what happens next. These services turn a consequential decision into coordinated action.

01 / The Flagship

Tax Planning

We use the return as a diagnostic, identify planning gaps and opportunities, then build a written strategy around your business, household, investments, real estate, and goals.

02 / The Numbers

Financial Analysis

We model cash flow, profitability, owner pay, capital needs, and the economics behind a strategy so the decision is grounded in more than a tax benefit.

Strategic Advisory
